Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of Scrollrs, a social Screen Time game operated by Kien Ton, an individual sole proprietor in the United States. By creating an account, accessing the app, or using the Scrollrs legal site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and using Scrollrs
Scrollrs is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live but at least 13, you may use Scrollrs only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
- Sign in with supported authentication methods
- Choose apps to track through Apple Screen Time tools
- Compare daily aggregate tracked minutes with friends
- Earn, buy, and spend virtual coins
- Use in-game items on yourself or accepted friends
- Receive limited push notifications if you allow them
2. Accounts and access
- You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure.
- Scrollrs currently supports Apple, Google, and email/password sign-in through Firebase Authentication.
- Some features may depend on third-party services, device support, App Store availability, or network access.
- You may sign out or delete your account from inside the app.
3. License, intellectual property, and App Store use
Scrollrs and its related software, designs, text, graphics, branding, and other content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Scrollrs for your personal, non-commercial use.
If you download Scrollrs through Apple's App Store, your use may also be subject to Apple's applicable platform terms and standard licensed application terms unless a separate custom EULA is applied through App Store Connect.
- Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or exploit Scrollrs except as allowed by applicable law.
- Do not use bots, scripts, scraping, or similar tools against the service.
- Do not interfere with the integrity, performance, or security of Scrollrs.
- Do not use Scrollrs for unlawful activity or in a way that violates another person's rights.
4. Service nature and limitations
Scrollrs is an entertainment and digital-wellbeing style product. It is not medical, mental-health, crisis-response, or emergency service software, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
Do not use Scrollrs in situations where distraction could cause harm, including while driving, biking, walking in traffic, operating machinery, or performing safety-sensitive tasks.
5. Screen Time and gameplay data
Scrollrs uses Apple Screen Time permissions only if you choose to grant them. Your selected app list and FamilyActivitySelection data are stored locally on your device. Scrollrs does not upload your selected app list, app tokens, or raw per-app Screen Time history. For gameplay, Scrollrs may upload aggregate tracked-minute totals and related scoring/checkpoint metadata, such as day, threshold, context, installation, and reward state.
- Gameplay state changes when you sync tracked minutes, claim tracked-time checkpoint rewards, buy coins, buy items, or use items.
- If Apple permissions, device support, or required entitlements are unavailable, some features may be limited or unavailable.
6. Social features and acceptable use
Scrollrs includes usernames, friend requests, rankings, weekly winner displays, and item interactions. You agree not to harass, threaten, impersonate, abuse, spam, scrape, or attempt to tamper with scores, coins, inventory, purchases, friendships, notifications, or other backend state.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account is misusing Scrollrs, harming other users, or trying to bypass product or security rules.
If you see abuse, harassment, impersonation, or a username that looks unsafe, you can report it from inside the app where report controls are available. You can also contact us at scrollrs.support@gmail.com with enough detail for us to review the issue.
7. Purchases, coins, and virtual items
Coin packs are sold through Apple's in-app purchase system and processed with RevenueCat and Firebase-backed fulfillment. Coins, inventory items, and other in-app balances are virtual product features licensed for use only inside Scrollrs. They are not cash, have no monetary value outside the app, and cannot be transferred or redeemed outside Scrollrs.
Some item effects may have randomized outcomes, such as which direction an effect applies or whether it affects you or a friend. When an item has randomized odds or outcome rules, Scrollrs shows the relevant rules in-app before use where practical.
- Purchase fulfillment may appear with a short delay while the backend confirms the transaction.
- Pricing, pack availability, and item availability may change.
- Refunds, billing disputes, cancellations, and purchase rights are subject to Apple's policies and applicable law.
- Deleting your account or otherwise losing access to Scrollrs may result in the loss of unused virtual coins, inventory items, gameplay progress, and similar in-app balances.
- We may correct wallet, inventory, or gameplay state if we detect fraud, duplicate fulfillment, chargebacks, abuse, or an operational mistake.
8. Notifications and third-party services
If you allow notifications, Scrollrs may send push notifications about accepted friend requests and item effects used on you. Notification delivery depends on Apple and Firebase services and is not guaranteed to be immediate or uninterrupted. Scrollrs notification copy is not intended to include raw Screen Time details.
Scrollrs relies on third-party services such as Apple, Google, Firebase, and RevenueCat. Parts of your use of Scrollrs may also be subject to those third parties' terms, policies, and platform rules.
9. Changes, suspension, and ending your use
Scrollrs may change, suspend, or remove features to address security, legal, platform, operational, or product needs. We may also update these Terms by posting a revised version on the Scrollrs legal site. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
You can stop using Scrollrs at any time. If you delete your account, Scrollrs is intended to remove your backend account records such as your user profile, public profile, friendships, effect events, registered devices, and Firebase-authenticated user account. However, we may retain limited records when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or enforcement of these Terms.
Local Screen Time selections stored on your device can be reset separately from the app.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent allowed by law, Scrollrs is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or perfect accuracy of device-reported Screen Time data, third-party services, rankings, purchase timing, or notification delivery.
We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scrollrs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, goodwill, data, or virtual items, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use Scrollrs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Scrollrs for any claim arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Scrollrs for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations or exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
